Active COVID-19 cases in Angeles City rise to 352

ANGELES CITY—The number of COVID-19 patients in this city rose to 352 after 47 new cases were registered Wednesday, July 7, the city government said.

The recovery on the same day of nine patients brought to 6,092 the number of residents who had been cleared of the viral disease out of the 6,744 total cases recorded here since the start of the pandemic last year.

A total of 300 city residents had succumbed to COVID-19, data showed.

The city government said it would continue to implement preventive measures that include mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields and physical distancing.

As of July 6, some 54,444 residents belonging to A1, A2, A3, and A4 priority groups have received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while 9,210 have been fully inoculated.

At least 13,754 police personnel here under the A4 category were among those who got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines.
