Pasay City free of virus deaths for 13 days

MANILA, Philippines — Pasay City has recorded zero COVID-19 deaths for the past 13 days, based on data from the city epidemiology and disease surveillance unit from June 22 to July 5. In June, the Pasay government recorded its longest streak of not recording any COVID-19 fatality for 15 days from June 3 to 17. Since June 1, Pasay has recorded six deaths due to COVID-19. Despite the downtrend in its COVID-19 cases, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano urged residents to observe minimum health protocols, such as wearing face masks and face shields and observing physical distancing.—DEXTER CABALZA
