Active COVID-19 cases in Olongapo City decline to 185
OLONGAPO CITY—The number of active COVID-19 cases here has dropped further to 185 on Tuesday (July 6) as the city logged more recoveries than new infections, an official said.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said 23 more patients have been healed from the viral disease here, pushing to 2,292 the city’s total number of recoveries. The city had 195 active COVID-19 cases in the previous day.
So far, the city has an 87-percent recovery out of the 2,622 infections recorded since last year.
Only 10 new COVID-19 cases were added to the city’s list on Tuesday, Paulino said, citing local health data.
One new death was also logged on the same day, slightly increasing the city’s COVID-19 death toll to 145.
