DAVAO CITY – The Army’s Task Force Davao will have a new head after its current commander takes on a new assignment.
Col. Consolito Yecla will step down from the post to assume on July 8 the post as commander of the Army’s 1003rd Infantry Brigade based in Davao del Norte.
He has served as Task Force Davao commander for over two years.
A member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1992, Yecla will take on the command of Brig. Gen. Nolasco Mempin, who will be the new assistant commander of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division.
To replace Yecla is Col. Darren Comia, outgoing chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Civil Relations Service.
