CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—Four more residents in this city succumbed to COVID-19, the city government announced Monday, July 5.
In its latest bulletin, the city government said those who died of the viral disease were from Calulut, San Jose, San Pedro, and Sta. Lucia villages.
Their deaths brought to 184 the number of residents here who died due to COVID-19 complications since the start of the pandemic last year.
On Monday, the city also recorded seven new COVID-19 cases and 17 recoveries.
To date, a total of 5,534 residents here had contracted COVID-19. Of these, 4,930 had recovered, while 420 remained active.
Barangay Calulut has the most active cases at 76, followed by Bulaon at 55, and Dolores at 38.
Citing its active cases, the city government said “close contact” has remained the highest mode of COVID-19 transmission here, followed by “work exposure.”
It reiterated the need to observe physical distancing, the wearing of face masks and face shields, and strict health protocols in workplaces.
