MANILA, Philippines — Manila launched on Sunday a COVID-19 vaccination site operating during graveyard hours on Recto Avenue.

The site will cater to people who could not get vaccinated during the daytime because of their work — among them drivers of pedicabs and “kuliglig” (makeshift vehicles resembling tricycles), market vendors, laborers, and porters, according to Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.

The Manila Public Information Office posted pictures on its Facebook, but it did not specify the exact location of the vaccination site.

The vaccination started at 10 p.m. and will last until 5:00 am.

Domagoso said the city was aiming to vaccinate 1,000 individuals on its first day.
