PH to have cloudy, rainy weather due to TD Emong, LPA — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The country is expected to have cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the effects of a low-pressure area and Tropical Depression (TD) Emong, the state weather service said.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), in its Sunday afternoon bulletin, said a low-pressure area in the West Philippine Sea will bring rains in central and southern Luzon on Sunday night, while Emong will dump rains in parts of northern Luzon.
The Visayas and Mindanao meanwhile are also expected to experience rain on Sunday night with Emong pulling the southwest monsoon.
“Bahagya nitong nahahatak ang ating southwest monsoon na magpapaulan ngayong gabi sa Visayas at Mindanao,” according to weather specialist Ana Clauren.
