MANILA — Two low-pressure areas (LPA) in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) may develop into storms in the coming days and will continue to dampen the country on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa said the two LPAs will cause cloudy skies and rain due to thunderstorms in all parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
“Base sa ating mga nakalap na data, itong dalawang low pressure area ay maaaring maging bagyo,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.
(Based on our gathered data, these two low pressure areas could potentially turn into storms.)
Pagasa as of 10:37 a.m. announced that the LPA located east of Eastern Samar has developed into Tropical Depression “Emong.”
