2 LPAs in PAR bringing cloudy skies, rain nationwide may become storms — Pagasa

MANILA — Two low-pressure areas (LPA) in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) may develop into storms in the coming days and will continue to dampen the country on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa said the two LPAs will cause cloudy skies and rain due to thunderstorms in all parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Base sa ating mga nakalap na data, itong dalawang low pressure area ay maaaring maging bagyo,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

Pagasa as of 10:37 a.m. announced that the LPA located east of Eastern Samar has developed into Tropical Depression “Emong.”

The said LPA was last spotted east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Meanwhile, the other LPA was last estimated 120 km east of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Baguio City: 16 to 24 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius

Tagaytay: 22 to 27 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 27 to 31 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 25 to 29 degrees Celsius

Cebu: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 23 to 30 degrees Celsius

Zamboanga City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius

Davao City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
