Drug suspect busted in Lucena City sting
LUCENA CITY – A 31-year-old jobless man who turned to the illegal drug trade was arrested and yielded over P220,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) here on Friday, police said Saturday.
Police Leuitenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Reniel Causapin after he sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay 7 at around 5:50 p.m.
Authorities seized 16 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 32.4 grams with an estimated value of over P220,000.
Causapin is not on the police list of identified drug pushers in the city.
The suspect was detained and is facing a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
