MANILA, Philippines — There will be several road repairs on some portions of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) and the C-5 Road from Friday night, July 2, to Monday morning, July 5, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced.

According to DPHW – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric Ayapana, the road rehabilitation works will be on Edsa’s southbound lane, starting from Biglang Awa Street in Caloocan City.

The second lane from the sidewalk will be affected, DPWH said.

Meanwhile, there will be reblocking activities at C-5’s sections after Rosa Alvero Street in Katipunan, and before Rajah Matanda Street — both in Quezon City.

The reblocking at the Rosa Alvero Street will cover the second lane from the side walk, and the third lane from the sidewalk for the section near Rajah Matanda Street.

DPWH said that they have already secured clearance and coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

“Reblocking activities at C5 Road, Quezon City will cover sections after Rosa Alvero, 2nd lane from center island; and before Rajah Matanda, 3rd lane from sidewalk,” DPWH noted.

“DPWH – NCR secured prior clearance and coordination with the [MMDA] in anticipation of expected traffic slowdown along areas covered by the weekend road repair,” it added.
