Father and son duo nabbed in Lucena drug bust

LUCENA CITY––Police arrested three drug suspects, including a father and his son, and seized over P45,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations on Friday here.

Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the suspected drug pushers as Liwanag Geñoso, 43, Carlito Rastrullo, 51, and his son, Christian, 33.

The police said the Rastrullos were collared after selling P500 worth of shabu to a police agent in Barangay Cotta at 9:25 a.m.

Authorities confiscated six sachets of shabu from the suspects worth P32,640 in the street market. Carlito was on the police drug watch list, the report said.

The policemen also busted Geñoso in a sting operation at 7:05 a.m. in Barangay Ibabang Iyam.

The suspect, also on the list of suspected drug peddlers in the city, yielded six sachets of shabu valued at P13,260.

The detained suspects face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
