MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck Camarines Sur on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 8:23 a.m., with its epicenter located 26 kilometers northeast of the municipality of Garchitorena.
The earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of nine kilometers.
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake was felt at Intensity III in Pili, Camarines Sur and Intensity I in Sipocot, Camarines Sur and Daet, Camarines Norte.
Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks are expected following the quake.
