Corona impeach trial resumes

MANILA, Philippines – The impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona entered its 17th day Tuesday since it started last January 16.

The Senate sitting as an impeachment court started at around 2:00 p.m.

Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile, the presiding officer, said he would adjourn the proceeding at around 5:00 p.m. so that everyone could spend Valentine’s Day with their loved ones.
