MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) being tracked by the state weather bureau has entered the Philippine area of responsibility early Thursday.
The LPA was last spotted 1,365 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
Pagasa, however, said it doesn’t expect the weather disturbance to intensify in the next 24 hours and expects the same to dissipate in the next 48 hours.
Meantime, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
The whole country will have light to moderate wind speed, moving in a southeast to southwest direction.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
