Olongapo City sees downward trend in new COVID-19 cases

OLONGAPO CITY For three consecutive days, the number of new COVID-19 infections in this city was on a downward trend, with only five new cases recorded on Monday (June 28), local health data showed.

The city logged 14 new COVID-19 cases on June 27, and 29 infections on June 26.

Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the active COVID-19 cases here were also down to only 211 from 224 the previous day.

Paulino said at least 17 patients had also recovered from COVID-19 on Monday, further pushing to 2,176 the total number of people who had been healed from the viral disease.

But another patient had died of COVID-19 on the same day, raising to 139 the city’s death toll. INQ
