LEGAZPI CITY—Six drug personalities, including a barangay tanod (village watchman), were arrested in separate police operations Monday in the Camarines provinces.
Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Eliseo Agsangre, 48, a garbage collector, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro at 9:15 p.m. A sachet of shabu (crystal meth) was confiscated from Agsangre.
At 1:05 p.m., John Albert Amador was also arrested in Barangay Sta. Cruz in the same city after he sold P15,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police agent, Bongon said.
In Canaman town, Arnel Jasareno Jr., 22, and Philip Christian Bernal, 23, were collared in a buy-bust operation around 8:30 p.m. in Barangay San Agustin, Captain Bienvenido Enciso, town police chief, said in a report.
Seized were six sachets of suspected marijuana and two glass pipes.
In Balatan town, Florencio Tejares, 48, a watchman in Barangay Duran, was nabbed around 7 a.m. for illegal drugs and firearms. Recovered in the search operations were five sachets of suspected shabu and a caliber .45 pistol with six live bullets.
In Daet, Camarines Norte, anti-narcotics operatives collared John Paul Bacerdo, 26, in a buy-bust operation at 4:15 p.m. in Barangay Camambugan. Recovered from Bacierdo were 13 sachets of shabu worth P6,000 from Bacerdo, who was on the illegal drugs watch list in Bicol.
