MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected on Tuesday on Luzon, including Metro Manila, with scattered rainfall expected in the afternoons and evenings due to localized thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also added the rain currently falling in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon as a result of localized thunderstorms is likely to persist into tonight.

“Ngayong gabi asahan nga ‘yung mga pulo pulong dagliang pagulan, na may kasamang pagkidlat at pagkulob lalong lalo na sa mga lalawigan dito sa kanlurang bahagi ng Luzon dahil nga sa posibleng epekto ng habagat,” Pagasa Senior Weather Specialist Chris Perez said.

(Tonight, sudden and scattered rain showers, with lightning and thunder should be expected in the western part of Luzon due to the possible effects of the southwest monsoon.)

On the other hand, Visayas and Mindanao are expected to enjoy warmer weather on Tuesday, though thunderstorms are still likely to bring rain showers in the afternoon until evening.

Metro Manila: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
