Housewife busted in Batangas drug sting

LUCENA CITY – A 24-year-old housewife on the illegal drugs watch list was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Tuy, Batangas on Saturday.

The Batangas police said Ma. Lea Evelyn Bautista was arrested after she sold P1,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay  Bolbok at around 5:30 p.m.

Authorities confiscated six sachets of shabu from the suspect. The report did not state the volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs.

Bautista was detained and is facing a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
