Pig farmer nabbed in Oriental Mindoro drug bust

CITY OF CALAPAN — A pig farmer was arrested during a drug bust on Saturday in Pinamalayan town in Oriental Mindoro province, according to a report from the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) police office. Angel Tolentino, 34, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. by police officers and agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) while selling a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) for P1,000 to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Pagala-gala where the suspect lives. Confiscated from the suspect were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.828 grams valued at  P5,000. Tolentino is now under police custody and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
