P1.6M dried marijuana seized in Pangasinan-La Union border

SISON, Pangasinan—Police here found dried marijuana worth P1.6 million near a checkpoint on the border shared by this town and La Union province on Thursday (June 24) evening.

The marijuana was inside two boxes that were abandoned on the roadside.

Police said the dried marijuana could have been deliberately left there by unidentified suspects when they saw the checkpoint.

At least 13 kilos of dried marijuana were in bricks and 10 tabular containers, investigators said.
