MANILA, Philippines — From one to three tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in July, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday morning.
Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said the tropical cyclones could affect Northern Luzon or Eastern Visayas and enhance the southwest monsoon.
Below normal rainfall is also expected for Northern Luzon and western section Central Luzon next month, while the rest of the country will have near normal rainfall.
Pagasa also sees neutral ENSO (El Niño/Southern Oscillation) conditions to continue until November 2021.
