2 village execs among 25 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Twenty-five new patients with COVID-19 were reported Wednesday in this province, bringing its active cases to 607.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said among the new cases were two village officials in San Marcelino town who contracted the virus at work.

One of the village officials had infected his 5-year-old son, while the other had tested positive for COVID-19, along with his two sons aged 13 and 19.

Another patient in San Marcelino is a 9-year-old girl from Barangay Linasin, who was exposed to her infected parents.

In Castillejos town, a man had infected his 39-year-old wife and their 3-month-old son.

As of Wednesday, the province registered 3,225 COVID-19 cases since last year, of which 2,542 had recovered, while 75 had died. INQ
