Mountain Province logs highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — Two more COVID-19 patients here died Tuesday, the city government said.

In its latest bulletin, the city government said the new fatalities were residents of Pampang and Sapangbato villages.

The city’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 293.

At least 20 new COVID-19 patients were also logged Tuesday, bringing to 301 the city’s active cases.

Barangay Sto. Domingo has the most active cases at 33, followed by Barangay Pampang at 17, and Barangay Cutcut at 17.

As of June 22, this city recorded 6,400 COVID-19 cases, with 5,806 recovered from the viral disease.

Some 5,078 residents belonging to the A1, A2 A3, and A4 priority groups had been fully vaccinated as of June 22, while 30,650 from the same categories had received their first dose of Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine. INQ
