LUCENA CITY––A vulcanizing shop helper died in a hit-and-run incident Wednesday at the Maharlika Highway in Gumaca, Quezon province.
The Gumaca police reported that Joseph Brucal, 36, was hit by a speeding vehicle while working on a truck tire at the roadside in Barangay Villa Padua at 12:15 a.m. Brucal suffered grave injuries and died on the spot.
The unidentified Bicol-bound vehicle sped off after the incident.
The police are investigating the identity of the culprit.
