Search on for man who allegedly killed his father in Santiago City

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela—Police are hunting a 29-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his father in this city, authorities said on Wednesday, June 23

Staff Sgt. Leo Saltat, Santiago City police investigator, said Rogelito Parinas Sr., 59, was sleeping when his son Rogelito Jr. shot him around midnight Monday with an unknown gun caliber in Barangay Balintocatoc.

Citing witnesses, the police said the suspect was intoxicated when he attacked his father.

Investigators said a family dispute could have been the motive in the shooting.

Relatives have yet to issue a statement on the incident, while the suspect faces a charge of parricide.
