2 insurance collectors nabbed in Puerto Princesa buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN — Two insurance collectors were arrested by police in a buy-bust operation Tuesday in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan province, according to a report from the Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) police.
Police arrested at 11:30 a.m. in Barangay San Pedro Ike Edison Pradilla, 20, and Lea Palanca, 19, at a buy-bust operation.
The suspects were selling dried marijuana leaves to the undercover police.
The police said both are residents of San Pedro and members of the criminal gang Fermin De Los Reyes Group.
Senior Master Sergeant Juvenal Aaron, case investigator, said in a phone interview that Pradilla and Palanca are legitimate collectors of an insurance company. Palanca is also a college student.
Confiscated from them are dried marijuana leaves wrapped in a transparent plastic bag and P2,500.
They will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
