Zambales health office seeks volunteers for COVID-19 vaccine rollout

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The provincial health office on Tuesday (June 22) announced that it would need volunteers who could help in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

It said doctors, nurses, midwives, and teachers could offer their service as the province continues its mass inoculation against COVID-19.

Health officials said it would also need the service of those in the field of Information Technology.

As of Tuesday, June 22, the province had vaccinated at least 34,787 health workers, senior citizens, and those with comorbidities. About 9,500 of them had received their second vaccine dose.

The province targets to inoculate 400,000 of its residents or 70 percent of its 590,848 population to achieve herd immunity. INQ
