Motorcycle rider dies in Imus City road mishap

LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider died after his vehicle was hit Monday by a truck along Aguinaldo Highway in Imus City in Cavite province.

The Calabarzon police, citing the Imus police report, said Tuesday that Pedro Olaso Jr. was driving his motorcycle when a 10-wheeler truck driven by Ardy de Andres hit him along the highway in Barangay Palico 3 around 9 p.m.

The victim was thrown off from the motorcycle, landed on the pavement, and died on the spot from head injuries.

The report did not state if Olaso Jr. had a crash helmet.

The truck driver is under police custody.
