Woman under home quarantine for COVID-19 found dead in Southern Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY—A woman, who was reportedly under home quarantine for COVID-19, was found dead Sunday inside her house in Barangay Cawayanan, Bontoc town in Southern Leyte.

Alicia Tulaytay, 35, was found kneeling inside her bathroom with her head inside a pail full of water at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, June 20.

Police have yet to determine what caused Tulaytay’s death.

But according to her family, the woman had been undergoing dialysis treatment.

Dr. Eva Padalapat, the town health officer, asked Tulaytay’s family to bury her immediately to avoid any possible virus spread.
