OLONGAPO CITY—For three consecutive days, this city has been recording more COVID-19 recoveries than new cases, local health data showed.

On Sunday (June 20), 29 patients had been cleared from COVID-19, raising to 2,038 the number of recoveries since last year.

The figure reflected an 84-percent recovery rate out of the 2,422 COVID-19 cases logged in the city since the pandemic began.

It also brought down to 257 the active COVID-19 cases as only 22 new infections were added to the city’s tally on the same day.
