COVID-19 recoveries exceed new cases in Olongapo City for 3 days

OLONGAPO CITY—For three consecutive days, this city has been recording more COVID-19 recoveries than new cases, local health data showed.

On Sunday (June 20), 29 patients had been cleared from COVID-19, raising to 2,038 the number of recoveries since last year.

The figure reflected an 84-percent recovery rate out of the 2,422 COVID-19 cases logged in the city since the pandemic began.

It also brought down to 257 the active COVID-19 cases as only 22 new infections were added to the city’s tally on the same day.

Since June 18, the city’s daily recoveries outnumbered the new infections.

The city’s death tally has reached 127 as of Sunday with the addition of one new fatality.
