Pagasa: LPA off Northern Luzon exits PAR; isolated Monday rain showers due

Public Weather Forecast Issued at 4:00 AM June 21, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) previously spotted east-northeast of Northern Luzon has exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

Pagasa senior weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the LPA exited PAR on Sunday night.

“Ang ating binabantayan na low pressure area ay tuluyan nang lumabas ng Philippine area of responsibility kagabi,” he said.

(The LPA we are monitoring has exited PAR yesterday night.)

Meanwhile, Pagasa said in its weather bulletin that the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Mimaropa and Western Visayas regions and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or localized thunderstorms.
