COVID-19 hits Quezon board member, wife
LUCENA CITY – A Quezon provincial board member and his wife both contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the provincial government revealed on Sunday.
On the Facebook page of the Quezon Public Information Office, Board Member Donaldo Suarez disclosed that he and his wife, lawyer Alexis Suarez both tested positive for COVID-19.
“Sa kasalukuyan ay maayos ang aming kalagayan at binabantayan ng doctor ang aming kondisyon,” Suarez said.
(We feel well at this moment and doctors are monitoring our condition.)
Suarez called on those they interacted with to immediately self-isolate and monitor their health condition.

Article continues after this advertisementThree days ago, Ma. Janet Buelo, head of Quezon Public Information Office, also announced on social media that she contracted COVID-19.
Buelo is still confined in one of the hospitals here.
Last month, Suarez’s parents, Quezon Governor Danilo Suarez, Rep. Aleta Suarez and provincial administrator Roberto Gajo had also been infected by the highly contagious coronavirus.
The three have since recovered.
