4 more die of COVID-19 in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Three elderly residents and a young girl were the latest COVID-19 fatalities in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed on Thursday (June 17). In its latest bulletin, the local government said those who died of the viral disease were a 73-year-old man from Barangay Carangian, Tarlac City; a 73-year-old woman from San Fernando Village, Victoria town; an 81-year-old man from Sta. Barbara, Victoria; and a 5-year-old girl from San Rafael, Tarlac City. The province currently has a total of 7,823 COVID-19 cases. Fifty-one new cases were also recorded on Thursday, bringing the active cases to 1,065. The death toll is at 360. The capital city of Tarlac has 467 active cases, followed by Gerona with 87, and Capas with 80. It also has the most number of fatalities at 127, followed by Concepcion town at 46, and Capas at 27.
