USC-NC beat CEC

THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos-North climbed to the top of the standings as they claimed their third win after beating the Cebu Eastern College Dragons, 24-10, in the 10-under division of the 2012 ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup last Saturday at the CEC gym.

The win was the Baby Warriors third in four games.

In the same category, the University of San Jose-Recoletos defeated the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 26-20.

In the 13-under age group, the University of the Visayas bested Southwestern University, 52-21, in the AB class for their first win in the competition.

In the AA class, the hosts USC-South claimed a 45-36 win over USJ-R in the lone game that was held at the venue. The other games were cancelled because of a rain-out.

The 16-under age group saw USJ-R defeat SHS-AdC 2, 50-28, in the AA class. The BB class saw Nissi Academy edge USJ-R B, 47-46 while Medellin blasted CIT-U, 79-13. The BA category had MCEC win over the Center for International Education, 53-38. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
