Aces, Bible Baptist continue runs
THE BIBLE Baptist Church and the Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service (Aces) continued to run roughshod over the rest of the field as they logged victories over their respective opponents in the 34-under division of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Basketball League.
BBC got past the Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship 1, 62-43, while the Aces defeated the BHCF 2, 69-53. The two teams tote similar 4-0 (win-loss) records. The two teams will put their undefeated records at stake tonight when they clash at the Living Word Church basketball court.
In other games, the Praise Cathedral Nets blasted the BUCCI Zealots, 75-64, while the BUCCP manhandled the Word International Ministries, 92-57.
BUCCP, BUCCI and PC Nets now hold identical 2-2 marks.
In the 35-above division, the Living Word Christian Church continued their winning run as they bested the Christian Workers Basketball Association, 83-68.
It was their fourth straight victory while CWBA dropped to 2-2. The Living Word Couples Ministry also evened their record out at 2-2 following their 91-81 win over Cebu Bethel Temple. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
