In a statement, Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon identified the foreigner as Zhi Hui Yan, 30, who was arrested in his residence at Parkview Villages in Clark Freeport.
De Leon said Zhi is the primary suspect in the shooting to death of another Chinese identified as Jin Hua Wu on April 3 last year, while the suspect was still residing at the Sunset Valley Mansion subdivision in Barangay Cutcut here.
Police arrested Zhi after Judge Erick Sadural of Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 116 issued a warrant against the suspect for the crime of homicide and illegal possession of firearms under Republic Act 10591 with recommended bail of P480,000.
Angeles City police director Col. Rommel Batangan said the operation that resulted in the arrest of the Chinese suspect was conducted jointly with the regional intelligence operatives and Clark Development Corporation’s public safety department.
He said Zhi was brought to a police station here for “documentation and booking.” INQ
