MANILA, Philippines — Even beloved heroes such as “Spider-Man” have to fall in line to get vaccinated against COVID-19 — well, sort of.
In photos posted by Justine Rain Go on Facebook which have gone viral, a man wearing a Spider-Man costume was among those who received their COVID-19 vaccine doses in Marikina City.
The man wearing the costume was identified as Alfred Dizon.
According to Go, who is an employee of the city government of Marikina, they initially thought Dizon was playing a prank on them when he arrived at the vaccination site wearing the costume.
“Noong una ko po siya nakita akala ko nantrip lan pero nung nilabas niya ‘yung schedule niya for first dose vaccination, nagulat kami,” Go told INQUIRER.net.
(When we first saw him, we thought he was just playing a prank. But when he showed his schedule for the first dose, we were surprised.)
“Madami siyang napasayang mga tao during and after vaccination,” he added.
(He made a lot of people happy during and after the vaccination.)
So is there any chance that Dizon will wear another superhero outfit for his second dose? Only time will tell.
