Massive fire hits Gaisano Grand Mall in Antique

ILOILO CITY—A massive fire broke out at the Gaisano Grand Mall in the capital town of San Jose in Antique on Thursday afternoon.

Radio station dyKA 801 Antique reported that the fire started at the mall’s roof deck and has since engulfed a significant portion of the mall, with parts of the second floor collapsing.

The fire, which started before 6 p.m., was still being put out as of 8 p.m.

Fire trucks from other towns of Antique have reinforced firefighters of San Jose.

The Gaisano Grand Mall, located at Barangay 8, is the first shopping mall in the province.
