TAGBILARAN CITY – This city on Thursday started its COVID-19 vaccination rollout for senior citizens.

Residents aged 60 and above lined up in the five vaccination centers, namely the Bool Elementary School, Tagbilaran City Central School, Dao Elementary School, Booy Covered Court, and Tagbilaran City College.

The pre-listed senior citizens endorsed by barangays were first inoculated, followed by walk-ins.

The vaccination will run until Monday, June 21.

Vicente Gaviola, 75, and a resident of Barangay Taloto, said he opted to get vaccinated to protect his family from the virus.

He said he didn’t feel anything after the vaccination.

Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said the city is targeting to vaccinate 10,000 senior citizens.

Yap urged fellow senior citizens to get inoculated against COVID-19.
