Negros Occidental to get 1st batch of Pfizer vaccines
BACOLOD CITY—Negros Occidental will receive Thursday its first batch of Pfizer vaccines.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said they were informed that two boxes of Pfizer vaccines would arrive but added he did not know how many doses they contain.
The province has ultra-low freezers to store the Pfizer vaccines at the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City. One is being installed at the Provincial Health Office in Bacolod City.
Diaz said the freezers purchased by the provincial government came just in time.
The Office of Civil Defense said the Negros Occidental shipment would arrive at the Bacolod-Silay Airport on board a Cebu Pacific plane.
