Pampanga cops seize P578K ‘shabu’

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Police arrested nine drug suspects and confiscated some P578,000 worth of crystal meth (“shabu”) during three buy-bust operations Tuesday, June 15, in Mexico town and Angeles City in Pampanga.

In a statement, Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon said three of the suspects were arrested in Barangay Lagundi, Mexico, Pampanga. He identified them as Khalib Mustapha, Lord Almonte, and Federico Pangilinan.

De Leon, who lauded the police operating team that arrested the suspects, said 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000 were confiscated from the trio during the operation.

In Angeles City, police director Col. Rommel Batangan said separate operations in barangays Malabanias and Pulung Bulu resulted in the arrest of Reynaldo Agsangre, Danny Say, Teresita Pascual, Mariz Quinto, Arnold Guibo, and B-Jay Balajadia.

Batangan said 70 grams of suspected shabu worth about P476,000 were seized from the suspects.

He said Guibo is a “high-value individual” on the police list of suspected drug personalities.

The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 for possession and selling of dangerous drugs.
