350 grams of meth seized from drug suspect in Cagayan de Oro
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—Authorities seized some 350 grams of crystal meth from a suspected illicit drug trader in a buy-bust operation Tuesday here.
A report from the police’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 10 identified the suspect as Allan Fernandez of Reyes Subdivision in Bugo village.
An undercover agent bought around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday some P3,000 worth of meth from Fernandez in a den in Agusan village.
As the transaction was consummated, the police swooped in to arrest Fernandez.
Seized from Fernandez were meth contained in 12 packets of various sizes, weighing 350 grams and worth about P2.38 million.
Lt. Col. Michelle Olaivar, regional police spokesperson, said Fernandez had been under surveillance several months before the operation.
