2 drug suspects nabbed in Sto. Tomas, Batangas

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested two suspected peddlers of shabu (crystal meth) peddlers, both included in the drugs watchlist, in separate operations in Sto. Tomas City in Batangas province on Tuesday, report said Wednesday.

Sto. Tomas police said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Charis Santiago, 32, after she sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Sta. Anastacia around 8:30 p.m.

Authorities seized three plastic sachets of shabu from the suspect.

Earlier, a police team also nabbed Junior Monterey, 41, in another buy-bust operation in another part of the village around 7:30 p.m.

The suspect yielded four sachets of meth.

Report said Santiago and Monterey are both included on the local police drug watchlist.

Both suspects were detained at the city police jail.
