Disaster management offices in 2 Negros Occidental cities closed for disinfection

Negros Occidentas bus firm launches ‘Libreng Sakay’ for APORs, health workersBACOLOD CITY––The Disaster Risk Reduction Management Offices (DRRMO) in the cities of Bago and Sipalay in Negros Occidental have been closed for disinfection starting Monday, June 14, after their personnel tested positive for COVID-19.

Sipalay Mayor Maria Gina Lizares said 14 DRRMO rescuers contracted the virus, endangering 17 other office personnel.

In Bago City, two DDRMO workers also tested positive for COVID-19, said Mayor Nicholas Yulo.

The Bago DRRMO will be closed for disinfection until June 16.
