SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela—A 21-year-old man was found dead Tuesday at an irrigation canal in Barangay Patul here, police said.
Staff Sgt. Leo Saltat, investigator at Santiago Police Station 2, identified the victim as Edmar Leonin.
Initial investigation showed that Leonin appeared intoxicated, which caused him to fall into the canal, where he drowned.
The police said a villager found Leonin’s body and reported it to the authorities.
