TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija—Anti-drugs operatives of the police in this town have killed an alleged drug trader on their watch list, who reportedly initiated a gunfight during a buy-bust operation on Saturday, June 12.

Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno, acting police chief, said Oliver Agapito, a resident of Barangay Pula, fired his .38- caliber after sensing that he was transacting with an undercover agent.

The responding policemen fought back and killed the suspect in the process.

Investigators said three sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing about 15 grams and worth P102,000 were recovered from Agapito.
