Heavy equipment driver yields P47K ‘shabu’ in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Police arrested a heavy equipment operator during a buy-bust operation that also resulted in the confiscation of crystal meth (shabu) worth P47,600 in Barangay Dolores here Saturday, June 12.
Lt. Col. Soledad Elefanio, police officer-in-charge in this city, identified the suspect as Ronaldo Bengco, 55, a resident of the said village.
Elefanio said an undercover policeman managed to buy shabu from Bengco using a marked P1,000 bill. After handing over a sachet of shabu to the poseur buyer and receiving the payment, the suspect was arrested.
The city police’s drug enforcement operatives allegedly confiscated around seven grams of shabu from the suspect.
Bengco was brought to the police station here for detention. He is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
