PNP logs 71st death due to COVID-19 and 164 new cases
MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 has claimed the life of another officer, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday, which also reported 164 new positive cases of the virus among its ranks.
These numbers bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in the force to 25,866, and the death toll to 71 as of June 14, according to the PNP health service in its daily tally.
It added that the PNP currently has 1,865 active cases and 23,930 recoveries (89 new).

The Philippines, on the other hand, now has 1,315,639 total COVID-19 cases after health experts reported 7,302 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
This includes 59,865 active cases, 1,232,896 recoveries and 22,788 deaths, according to the Department of Health.
